Controller (Remote)

The Controller is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis process and oversees the company’s annual audits, budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. This role provides financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, which includes financial analysis, industry comparison, and other projects as requested by senior management. This position also provides leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensures that the accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

This position requires a four-year degree in Accounting or Business or related field along with five to ten years of experience with at least three years in supervising accounting positions and broad-based management under Information Systems, and SAP experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible party for the monthly financial close. Expected to manage and work alongside the Accounting Department team to complete all monthly financial close procedures, including all accruals, monthly reconciliations, and supporting schedules and analyses, and prepare preliminary financial statements.

  • Responsible party for the annual audit. Expected to manage and work alongside the Accounting Department team to fulfill all third-party audit requests, manage communications with auditors, and coordinate responses to all auditor requests.

  • Completing monthly financial statement reports, supporting analyses, forecasts, and annual budgets.

  • Various daily department activities through the management of the accounting team.

  • Daily department activities include Accounts Payable, Purchase Orders, Employee Expense Report Processing, Cash Control, Accounts Receivable (billings, cash receipts, collections), Providing backup/redundancy in select department activities.

  • Support tax-related activities by coordinating with 3rd party vendors the accurate and timely completion of all property, sales, and other tax filings and payments.

  • Prepare and distribute annual W9 forms to 1099 contractors and vendors.

  • Establish and maintain systems and controls to ensure the integrity of all accounting systems, processes, and financial data.

  • Continuously assess internal reporting, processes, and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes.

  • Responsible party for monitoring, coordinating and providing information required to maintain and renew corporate insurance policies.

  • Reviews and evaluate quality, accuracy, work methods, and procedures.

  • Train, motivate and evaluate team members.

  • Collaborate with management to identify and resolve problems.

Logistics Manager (Burbank, CA)

Kelian Beauty, LLC is seeking a qualified supply chain professional for the role of Logistics Manager responsible for managing daily operations related to the order to delivery process. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex logistics projects across multiple distributor/customer networks and across multiple regions including international freight.

  • Manage product transfers for third-party warehouse inventory, third-party production; Reconcile and post transfers accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Work with Inventory Planning and Operations Director to ensure smooth delivery of finished goods.

  • Approve freight invoices and provide supporting backup to accounting.

  • Network optimization identifying facility location and transportation opportunities.

  • Logistics transportation and warehousing best practices and procurement.

  • Contract rate and terms negotiation.

  • Support and promotes the use of standard tools and processes across the organization.

  • Business process mapping and documentation.

  • Operational KPI metrics collection and analysis.

  • Build and manage logistics provider relationships.

  • Identify, document, and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management or Operations or Equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years experience in transportation procurement, wine industry preferred, including rate analysis and rate/contract negotiation.

  • 5+ years experience in either warehousing or transportation operations.

  • Experience and expertise in data analytics, including MS Excel and Business Intelligence reporting tools.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Project management expertise.

  • Self-driven and result-oriented with a customer service focus.
